What is augmented reality?

Augmented reality is placing yourself or the user inside a virtual world where if they were to do something in real life it would affect them in the virtual world.  For example if you were to look around while in an augmented reality you would look around in real life leading you to believe you have physically be put into the game.  So basically its an allusion.
